HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?
E-mail me directly at chip@chipklose.com. I’m currently booking about 3-4 weeks in advance, though cancellations do come up from time to time. Get in touch!
INDOORS OR OUTSIDE?
There are pros and cons to both… it depends on what you’re looking for. Shooting outdoors can give us a lot more variety, but there will also be unknown variables like weather, crowds, and limited privacy. The studio setting can provide a lot more intimacy (not to mention temperature control). It’s all about what you’re looking to achieve, and what you’re comfortable with. As we’re planning your session this is something we’ll discuss.

DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
No deposit is required. The full payment is due the day of the shoot before we start taking pictures.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY SHOOT?
Think about how you want to market yourself. Consider what roles or projects you fit into. This, more than anything else, will inform our session. The thing I always ask is this: What sets you apart from other actors? What makes you unique or remarkable? Put another way: “What are the stories only you can tell?” The photo shoot is all about that. Choose clothing you love. It will put you at ease and free you up. Stay away from patterns and stripes. Solid colors are best. Layers give us tons of flexibility. In a typical two-hour shoot we’ll have time for 3-5 different looks. Come prepared with a bunch of options so we can play. The night before, be sure to get lots of rest, lots of water, and PLEASE try to avoid alcohol. It makes all the difference!
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SHOOT?
I’ll go through all of the photos, get rid of the duds, and upload the proofs to an online gallery where you can select your favorites. After you’ve chosen the finals, I’ll get to work on final edits and turn them around within 5 business days. At that point I’ll upload all of the files to a Dropbox folder for you to access. For an additional cost ($50) I can also provide all of the RAW unedited images. You can then touch them up yourself for use on your website, social channels, or other promotional materials.
